Steff Chambers has confirmed her entry to the Golden Homes North Island Endurance Series. She will be driving her Porsche 996 GT cup car in the one-hour endurance race this season.
She has been involved in motor racing for 5 seasons now and it will be her 2nd season driving this car. Steff has done many laps around Pukekohe and Hampton Dows and she is hoping that extra preparation will ease her into the new season.
She has been working in her physical endurance doing gym sessions every week, cardio and long distance endurance training to ensure she has the strength and ability to withstand the forces particularly at the end of the race when drivers start to get tired and hot.
The team has been working hard to get the car ready and they are confident that it will be in great condition for the first race in April.
“First round is always interesting because you don’t know what kind of cars are going to be out there but I’m all set to compete, enjoy myself and most importantly finish every race”, Steff said.
We are looking forward to see Steff out on track and very confident she will do a great job this season!
