The 2021 North Island Endurance season has finally come to a close and did so with the last race in Pukekohe on Sunday 27th June.
This season was certainly an exciting one with the introduction of the new 2hour Clubman’s race which included a total of 96 entries over the 4 events. We’re very happy to have seen an increase in the number of competitors in the 1- and 2-hour race, and we hope to see more teams and cars joining us next year!
We are thrilled to have been able to put this amazing event together this year, but this would have not been possible without the dedication and help from sponsors, volunteers, committee and club members, drivers, and teams. We would like to thank everyone involved in the North Island Endurance series for all their hard work and commitment!
Thank you to the Motorsport Club and their team of volunteers for their time and hard work before, during and after every event.
A massive thank you to the Heart of racing for the amazing work you did for the series and for the Starship Foundation. Live coverage was fantastic and has allowed us to get the sport throughout our widespread community in New Zealand!
Also, a shout out thanks to all our sponsors for your ongoing support helping us put a great event together! Thank you to our naming sponsor of the series, and to all sponsors at the track: Hamilton Asphalts, Murphy Buses, Futura Trailers, Race Brakes, Michelin Tyres, Harris Race radios, Foodstuffs and Squawking Magpie Wines for the spot prizes.
And finally thank you to Speedworks for a well-run series!
It has been another great season of endurance racing and we are looking forward to the Nationals in November!
